Scott Piper

Scott Piper lives in Salt Lake City, and works as Principal Cloud Security Researcher at Wiz.  His career in cybersecurity has spanned from the NSA to tech companies, and he has focused exclusively on AWS security since 2017.  He has created open-source tools, such as CloudMapper, and the CTF flaws.cloud, and has been referred to as the Internet's cloud security historian.

Public Speaker

Research

Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) will cover everything from the 101 Basics to the latest Trends including:

  • New Exploit Vectors

  • Practical Countermeasures

  • Detection Methods for TTPs

​

Sessions typically range from 25 minutes to 50 minutes, with speakers frequently being available for Q&A afterwards.

Female Presenter

Panels

Cybersecurity Experts will gather together to discuss recent hot topics within the industry. Panels will be moderated and focused in one of the following areas:

​

  • Breaking Into InfoSec

  • Red VS. Blue

  • Pathways to Leadership

​

These sessions typically are 50 minutes, with panelist frequently answering questions from the audience.

Computer Programmers

Workshops

Hands-on workshops help train up new members of the cybersecurity community in the basics of the industry. This includes the following topics:

​

  • Raspberry Pi Pico 101 Basics 

  • Network Traffic Analysis and Suricata Signatures Lab

  • Metasploit Intro & 101 Basics​

 

Sessions typically range from 2 hours to 4 hours, with trainers frequently helping students through hands-on labs.
